The Hendersonville Board of Mayor and Aldermen unanimously adopted Resolution 20269 on April 14 to accept the dedication of completed streets in Durham Farms Phase 4 Section 35B. "All those in favor of resolution 20269, please say I," the presiding officer said; the measure passed unanimously.
Chairman Garza summarized a set of committee actions that the board will consider further: the general committee recommended holding a public hearing and forwarded annexation and rezoning matters for property at 1402 and 1410 Kingdom Way (Cornerstone Church/Nashville) to the board with a neutral recommendation. Garza said the annexation and rezoning proposals would require more discussion and noted the committee sent two items on the topic to the board for additional review.
Planning Commission reports (Alderman Martin) listed several project approvals at the staff and commission level. The commission approved Forest Park Phase 2 preliminary plat and the Forest Park Phase 1 final plat at 1685 Saundersville Road, and approved (7–2) the Millennia C cottages project (Trilogy Asset Investments) at 645 East Main Street, subject to staff comments. Martin also reviewed a set of staff-level approvals and pending site plans.
Garza additionally reported committee support for a resolution requesting Hendersonville representation on the NES board and a positive recommendation to update the city’s ADA transition plan to address digital accessibility under Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act. Those items were sent forward with positive recommendations or for further board consideration as noted in the committee report.
The board did not take final action on the Kingdom Way annexation/residential rezoning at this meeting; first reading is scheduled for April 28, according to the planning report.
