Wright County reallocates ARP funds, cancels wetland restoration project and approves child-support MOU with DCYF

Wright County commissioners approved several budget and American Rescue Plan (ARP) project adjustments and a Health & Human Services memorandum of understanding during the Jan. 6 meeting.
As part of project administration consent items, the board approved ARP changes that cancel WCAG-009 (Wetland Restoration Near Granite Lake) and reallocate funds: WCAG-018 County Ditch #33 Branch #4 emergency realignment was increased from $25,000 to $75,000, and WCAG-019 County Ditch #38 realignment was increased from $26,176 to $76,176.
The consent agenda also recorded ARP reimbursements: $205.49 allocated to stormwater clean-water and $99,064.68 allocated to nonpoint-source clean-water.
In Health & Human Services business, Director Jami Goodrum presented and the board approved a Memorandum of Understanding with the Department of Children, Youth & Families (DCYF) for child-support services covering Jan. 1, 2026 through Dec. 31, 2027. The MOU allocates $152,234 to the County Attorney's Office and $2,500 to the Sheriff's Office; the minutes do not provide additional detail on program terms.
The board also approved several HHS appointments and accepted member resignations for advisory councils.
