Sherwood Village officials told the council Dec. 17 that the South Harrison Street project has $750,000 committed from the Neighborhood Revitalization Program and that the village is awaiting up to $500,000 from the Ohio Public Works Commission, including the option of a 0% interest loan.
Administrator/Fiscal Officer Sherri Ramey provided a project timeline: bidding is expected in late 2026, construction beginning in late 2027 with a target project end date of Aug. 31, 2027; ODOT paving is anticipated in 2028. The council discussed possibly coordinating adjacent alley paving and reviewing paver quotes for Memorial Park and nearby business alleys to ease maintenance and snow removal.
Council members were informed that acceptance of OPWC funds and final bidding will determine final scope and schedule; the minutes note the village will move forward with planning and seek required approvals.
