The Common Council of Brookfield City unanimously approved its consent agenda at the March 3 meeting, permitting a slate of administrative, procurement and licensing actions.
A motion by Alderman Gary Mahkorn, seconded by Alderman Chuck Bloom III, approved all items on the consent agenda by a 14-0 vote. Consent items listed in the minutes included: purchase of ambulance and medical equipment from the Village of Butler for $139,650; spare wear parts for thickened biosolids transfer pumps for $56,166.95 (Resolution No. 11529-26); purchase of police squad vehicles from Ewald Automotive Group for $382,672 (Resolution No. 11530-26); and purchase of police squad vehicle equipment and related installation services from General Fire Equipment for $268,477 (Resolution No. 11531-26). The council also approved ordinances amending the 2026 Salary and Positions ordinances, various bartender and temporary event licensing resolutions, a contract with Rettler Corporation for Phase 2 of the Wirth Park redevelopment (Resolution No. 11537-26), and confirmations including the appointment of Sarah Kitsembel as Finance Director (Resolution No. 11538-26).
