Amber McKenny appointed to Fletcher council seat; will be sworn in January

After interviewing applicants to fill a District One vacancy, the council voted unanimously to appoint Amber McKenny; she will be sworn in at the January agenda review meeting and receive orientation materials in advance.
The council appointed Amber McKenny to fill the remaining term for the District One council seat.
Four applicants were considered. Jessica Roselli addressed the council in person and described her background. After a round of questions, council members conducted a private ballot and reported the result as unanimous. The presiding official announced, "congratulations to Miss Amber mckeny you have been appointed." McKenny will be sworn in at the January agenda review meeting and staff will provide orientation materials prior to her first meeting.
Council members thanked all applicants and encouraged community involvement in other town committees.
