Board approves initial slate for Measure K citizens bond oversight committee

Staff outlined the committee's responsibilities: oversee bond spending for compliance with ballot language, review financial reports and audits, inspect facilities and issue an annual public report. Staff emphasized the committee does not manage projects or set bond priorities.
The board moved and approved the slate and directed ongoing recruitment and documentation of outreach activities to build transparency and meet statutory oversight requirements.
