Several trustees moved and seconded the reading items and the motions carried.
Finance and emergency items: The board approved the district's un-audited actuals for fiscal year 2024–25 (item 10.3). Chief fiscal staff reported close alignment between estimated and un-audited balances and a combined restricted and unrestricted ending fund balance approaching $270 million. Trustees also adopted a resolution authorizing emergency sewer-line repairs at Roosevelt Elementary and approved a resolution establishing an electric-vehicle charging fee structure.
Discipline: The board reported action taken in closed session to accept hearing-panel findings and ordered expulsions under Education Code section 48900; trustees also approved suspensions or remands to youth court and certain readmission authorizations for students referenced by identification numbers in the closed-session report.
