Waynesboro proclaims National Library Week and hears library operations update

Library staff highlighted that physical circulation is at about 74% of last year and e-resources are at about 83%; meeting-room usage was at 101% year-to-date. Staff emphasized partnerships that extend services (courier with neighboring counties, a new caseworker Monday evenings, Revive office hours in partnership with Valley Community Service Board and Central Shenandoah Health Department) and noted awards from the Virginia Public Library Directors Association and a Nora Roberts Foundation grant to support a community read. Staff previewed summer reading and community-read programs, including a pre-recorded talk for the community read.
