The board voted unanimously on several items offered as part of the meeting’s consent and new‑business agenda, including approval of minutes from Feb. 25, general warrants, and multiple contracts: a Notice of Funding Allocation for a foreign labor certification grant (Contract ID 10431), a health‑department grant application for up to $50,000 to purchase long‑acting reversible contraceptives (Contract ID 10442), a rental agreement for a 40‑ton Caterpillar 740 haul truck (Contract ID 10419), an approved temporary closure of County Road 14 for a 20‑inch water‑main installation (March 17–April 3), an extension of a professional services agreement with Via Mobility for paratransit (Contract ID 10434), and a license agreement for private lateral ditch crossings tied to the High Plains Boulevard project (Contract ID 10447).
Roy Rutello of Emergency Management presented Code Ordinance 2026‑03, the final reading of amendments to Chapter 2, Article 16 (Emergency Management). Rutello said the changes included wording clarifications and the removal of section 2‑16‑120, which he said should remain in a separate wildfire resiliency chapter. After a brief public hearing with no speakers, the board adopted the ordinance on final reading.
The meeting’s one divided vote came on a planning item to partially vacate USR1654 for Front Range Feed Lots LLC; that motion passed 4–1 (see separate coverage). Throughout the meeting, several commissioners praised ongoing services—particularly paratransit—and noted concerns about potential state funding cuts that could affect services funded with multimodal option funds (MMO).
All formal motions and outcomes recorded in the meeting minutes were approved on the record during the March 11 session. The board then opened public comment, received no speakers, and adjourned.
