The commission discussed timing and logistics; staff said the area would be used from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. and the run would begin at approximately 9:30 a.m. A commissioner noted longstanding cooperation with Special Olympics and praised Coughlin's fundraising and coordination efforts. The commission moved, seconded and approved closing the popup park for the event.
Staff confirmed the requester has completed the special-events permit and must meet the usual permit requirements. No road closure was required for this segment of the event.
