The Poudre School District R-1 Board of Education on April 14 unanimously passed four resolutions recognizing district observances and community partners and approved a construction contract to replace the tennis courts at Fort Collins High School.
Resolutions approved (each recorded as "motion passes six zero") included: a resolution supporting the Week of the Exceptional Child (April 12–16, 2026); a resolution recognizing National Arab American Heritage Month; a resolution supporting National Bilingual/Multilingual Learner Advocacy Month; and a resolution in support of National Volunteer Appreciation Week (April 19–25), introduced by district staff and community volunteers.
The board also approved expenditures in excess of $250,000 and authorized staff to execute a construction contract for $549,541 with Renner to replace the Fort Collins High School tennis courts. CFO Dave Montoya said the existing courts were installed in 1995, prior repairs have failed and conditions now recommend full replacement; the work is planned for the coming summer.
Votes on the consent agenda and other procedural items were recorded as unanimous (6–0). The board called for photos and public recognition at several points during the meeting.
The board did not vote on policy changes requested during public comment; those items were referred to committees for follow-up.
