The Green Bay Area Public School District board voted to offer Michael Hernandez the contract to serve as the district’s next superintendent and approved a set of personnel motions during a special meeting on April 13, 2026.
Trustee Lynn Gerlach moved that "Michael Hernandez be offered the contract to serve as the next superintendent of the Green Bay Area Public School District as presented"; Trustee Samantha Meister seconded. Kinsey opened online voting and later announced that "the motion is carried with all board members voting in favor." The board then approved employment of staff as presented in a separate motion, which also passed unanimously after online votes were recorded.
