Ada County EMS reports new training, hires and flags possible ARPA issue ahead of GMT payment

The presenter praised Deputy Chief Operations Chief Wing’s early performance, saying "she's taken off like she's been shot out of a cannon" and reported that an inspection of Eagle Fire Station 2 appeared favorable, with the operations division expected to deliver a written report next.
On finance, staff said the GMT payment for 2023 is set to arrive at the end of May but that Linda Rosenwinkel, the billing office manager, identified questions about whether ARPA dollars recorded as 2023 expenses could affect the submission. The presenter said staff will evaluate the submission and make any necessary amendments to ensure accuracy.
The board approved the EMS claims journal dated April 10, 2026, by voice assent before the update. The presenter and commissioners did not specify vote names for that approval in the record beyond verbal assent.
Staff indicated they will follow up with a corrected GMT submission if needed and that operations will circulate the Eagle Fire Station 2 inspection report to commissioners when available.
