At its March 31 meeting, the Montgomery County Commission approved a series of routine items and appropriations and tabled one contested ARPA amendment for further review.
Approved items (voice votes unless noted): minutes for March 17, 2026; accounts payable and payroll checks; sale of three decommissioned vehicles; updated Nationwide Financial Services governmental 457 plan adoption agreement; a professional-services contract with Dominion Resources LLC for the 2026 tax sale; bid award for exterior renovation of 350 Adams Avenue; amendment to the Jackson Hospital agreement; miscellaneous appropriations to agencies and education (including specified donations to YMCA Achievers, I Lead, AX CDC, LAMP, and Baldwin Middle Magnet choir equipment); designated-revenue appropriations (including $5,000 from Commissioner Harris to Alabama Dance Theatre pending paperwork); and travel and training requests from multiple departments. Item 8 (amendment to the ARPA Small Thrive Small Business Program) was tabled pending procurement and allocation clarifications.
Motions were made, seconded and passed on voice votes for the approved items. Where paperwork or documentation was missing (for example, foundation documentation for a Care Staff Health Gala allocation), staff were directed to follow up with the necessary materials before final allocations are released.
The commission recessed into executive session after adjournment motions were approved.
