Roane County Commission approves multiple reappointments, adopts 2024 building codes and accepts grants; terminates Andrews Technology contract

Financial and program resolutions approved by voice vote included adjustments to General Fund 101 and General Capital Projects Fund 171, a resolution authorizing participation in the National Opioid Settlement (42609) and related expenditure changes in the Opioid Settlement Fund (42610), and a budget amendment to support industrial land acquisition tied to TVA and ECD grant applications (42613). The commission approved a Tennessee Essential Equipment ambulance grant (42611) described by a commissioner as “the grant with no match, $30,000.”
The commission also declared certain county vehicles and equipment surplus (42607) and approved an agreement with Tisha Jarnigan to manage Riley Creek Campground for the 2025–2026 season (42606). In a separate action the commission voted to terminate all contracts with Andrews Technology (Resolution 42615), describing the vendor as having defaulted and instructing staff that the county will seek a replacement timekeeping system.
