The Director reported that contractor Musco completed LED lighting work on softball field No. 4 and repaired most lighting outages across town sports fields. "Huge difference," the Director said, adding that six outages remain (two at softball, three at baseball and one at soccer) because weather prevented truck access.
The town recorded 97 signups for the youth basketball/tournament program this weekend, the Director said, and organizers hope to finalize spring and summer tournament dates by early next year. The Director said a handheld credit-card machine was introduced at concessions and fee-collection points and that payments appear to post to the towns account promptly: "We closed the batch. It was in the account first Monday," the Director said.
The Director also said a full-time grounds-maintenance position will be recruited and is expected to be filled before spring. No formal action or vote accompanied the report; it was provided as part of the directors regular updates.
