The presentation stressed required preparation steps for an effective monitoring visit: aligning program practice with the consolidated improvement plan (CLIP), maintaining budgets and expenditure documentation, reviewing prior audits and corrective actions, conducting mock monitoring visits and ensuring key staff are available during any on‑site review (program directors, assigned LEA staff, finance personnel and human resources representatives).
Dr. Crawl noted the district will receive specific indicator documents ahead of any visit and may submit documentation virtually or in person; feedback from reviewers will identify whether compliance standards have been met and any corrective actions required. Board members thanked Dr. Crawl for the overview and recognized recent administrative 'guardrails' implemented in the district.
