Smithfield School Committee approves routine trips, invoices and high‑school sign

Facilities director Angelo presented two design options for a replacement Smithfield High School sign; the panel voted to approve the package that features the Sentinel mascot and the wording “Home of the Sentinel, Smithfield High School.” Angelo said the vendor lead time would depend on materials and electrical work.
The committee also approved a vendor invoice (Collier, invoice 0000112293) not to exceed $1,572. Separately, the committee authorized payment to Clean Care for a culinary project retention application, not to exceed $9,250; that payment will be released at the discretion of the acting superintendent or the committee chair once final close‑out documentation is confirmed.
The meeting moved on to other business following those votes.
