He said the district will advertise the roofing, parking‑lot and lighting packages on April 29, keep the bid period open three weeks, and bring recommended awards to the school board at its May 20 meeting.
Scott told the committee that if the board approves contracts at that May meeting, construction is planned to begin on June 22. He said the June 22 start date was chosen in part to avoid conflicts with hometown days and reduce disruption during community events.

Committee members had compared the February and April Gantt charts and asked for clarifications about what changed; Scott attributed the shifts to incorporating stakeholder input and updated cost estimates from engaged professionals.
