Collective Arts pitches Berg Arts Fest and seeks town support, grant-match help

Lewisburg — Tanya Kelly of Collective Arts presented the Berg Arts Fest to the Lewisburg Town Council, outlined vendor partnerships and programming for April 25, and asked the council for help with outreach, sponsorship connections and a $2,500 local match needed to pursue the North Carolina Arts Council Grassroots Grant.
Kelly said the event will include artist vendors located inside local businesses, a kids art station, a community art installation to be donated to the town, and partnerships with businesses including Three Lions Pub, Tar Banks Brewery, Backwoods Wizards and Thrifties. She described Collective Arts’ mission to support artists through paid opportunities, grant-writing workshops and event planning and provided a QR code and email for the presentation packet.
Kelly contrasted arts-economy examples from other counties and urged the council to consider having a town representative on a county-level steering committee and to support the organization’s effort to become the county partner for the North Carolina Arts Council’s grassroots grant program.
Ending: Councilmembers thanked Kelly; members expressed support for arts and youth programming and said they planned follow-up conversations about possible partnerships and volunteer involvement. Kelly requested $2,500 in local support to match a grassroots grant and left contact information for follow-up.
