The ECI committee approved three student-travel items April 14 after presentation by Dr. Waters.
Dr. Waters asked the committee to ratify travel for a North Penn High School academic-decathlon student and chaperone to the national competition in Garden Grove, California, April 22 '6; the estimated per-person cost cited was $200.
The committee also approved travel for 15 Science Olympiad students and three staff to the Pennsylvania State Science Olympiad invitational in Altoona, April 24 '5.
Finally, the committee approved travel for 12 elementary Odyssey of the Mind students (York Avenue and Bridal Path teams) to the Odyssey of the Mind World Finals at Iowa State University May 27 '0; the presentation listed a $7,500 registration charge for the trip, and staff noted hardship assistance is available in some cases.
The committee moved and approved the travel requests by voice vote; specifics about individual travelers and final cost allocations will be confirmed in the board action packet.
