County administrator reports ProCom contract signed, elevator repair set and land-division questions under review

The Floyd County administrator updated the board on several operational items, saying a ProCom contract has been signed, elevator repairs are scheduled and staff are following up on issues from a new land-division ordinance.

At the meeting the administrator said Joe Strickland visited and "Pro Com was signed. Five years in the making," and that ProCom staff will check inventory and stage initial equipment using funds already set aside. The administrator added that the county attorney revised the renovation contract to ensure it met the county's needs and that staff were trying to schedule a meeting with contractor Yancy to confirm a date.

On building maintenance, the administrator said elevator technicians "will be here between 9:00 and 10:00 to start bringing stuff in" on Monday the 20th and that staff hoped the repair would be completed "fairly shortly." On land-division matters the administrator said most concerns are minor, but that road naming and related clarifications remain and staff (including Carla, Mark, Danny and Jenny) plan to review processes in about six months or sooner if a significant issue arises.

The board did not take any formal action on these items during the meeting. The administrator characterized the updates as routine operational briefings and flagged they will return to the board only if a larger problem develops.
