"We've had a total of two that left under a bit of a cloud following a vote of no confidence by the union," he added, framing his ask that trustees consider internal candidates when appointing the next superintendent.
Carpenter told trustees that, in his view, the district has been "generally happier" when leaders were promoted from within and urged them to keep that experience in mind when making future appointments. He closed by urging trustees to consider internal candidates "when the time comes to appoint a new superintendent."
