At its April 15 meeting the Englewood City Code Enforcement Advisory Committee voted to approve updated bylaws and spent considerable time organizing event outreach and volunteer shifts for upcoming community events.
The committee approved amended bylaws after a motion and second; members said the revisions clarify internal voting processes. No further routing was required beyond committee approval at the meeting, though members asked staff to confirm whether additional steps are needed after committee action.
On outreach, staff and committee members confirmed plans and logistics for Celebrate Englewood on May 16 (10 a.m.–2 p.m.) and for a community block party on Aug. 29. Staff said tables, tablecloths, magnets and fact sheets will be staged at the Community Development front desk for pickup the week of each event. Members volunteered staggered shifts and were reminded that, under open‑meetings law, committee booths cannot be staffed by more than two committee members at a time.
Committee members also discussed performance statistics and agreed to shift from a monthly to a quarterly review of enforcement metrics (three‑month summaries in June, Sept., Dec., Mar.). Members asked staff to include brief analysis and trend interpretation with future reports rather than only raw numbers.
The meeting ended after a brief membership discussion and adjournment.
