Magistrates discussed statutory timing for setting elected office compensation ahead of the May filing period and requested historical budget-spending data and options. The court agreed to move the matter to the finance committee so staff can compile the coroner office’s expense history and propose an amount; the issue will return for a decision at the February meeting.
