He urged the borough to pilot low‑cost measures before permanent reconstruction and proposed a committee to study multimodal safety and event‑related transportation.
Administrator Connie and commissioners described ongoing planning for New Jersey Avenue — including a county road‑diet project and related borough responsibilities for lighting and landscaping — and said Taylor Design Group will publish final drawings when ready. Connie also said the borough submitted a Safe Streets for All federal grant application for $200,000 on Aug. 29 to support planning and implementation of traffic‑safety measures.
