Austin ISD says more students earning college credit; district projects it will exceed CCMR target

Staff highlighted variation by student group and campus: some groups (Asian students) exceed system averages, while Black and Hispanic student groups lag and are the focus of targeted access efforts.
Trustees asked how successful campus programs (for example Navarro and early college high schools) could be replicated across more campuses; presenters pointed to a combination of strategies — expanding dual‑credit/AP pathways, early college programming, targeted advising and summer bridge supports — and said the district will convene campus teams to identify scalable practices. The board accepted the monitoring report as having been presented.
