Committee approves licenses, permits and vouchers; forwards TID and staffing recommendations to council

At its April 14 meeting the Muskego City Finance Committee approved several routine and time-sensitive items in a series of voice votes.
Licenses and permits: The committee recommended approval of a Class A liquor license for Christian Brothers of Watertown LLC, d/b/a Piggly Wiggly #277 (Rine Avenue) following a change in ownership. The committee also recommended approval of a full-service retail outlet permit for Raised Grain Brewing Company to operate at Veterans Memorial Park W. for Muskego National Night Out on Aug. 5, 2026, from 4:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Vouchers and wire transfers: The committee approved utility vouchers totaling $123,943.80 and general fund vouchers totaling $716,742.34. It approved wire transfers for payroll and invoice transmittals of $459,991.34 (March 26, 2026) and $441,349.22 (April 9, 2026) as presented in the packet.
Other actions: The committee recommended to the full council early termination of TID 10 and a temporary increase in authorized sworn police staffing from 41 to 43 (see separate items). The meeting concluded with no finance director’s report; the committee adjourned at about 6:07 p.m.
These actions were taken by committee recommendation; final authority for ordinances and budgetary decisions rests with the full Muskego City Council.
