"This spreadsheet can go out to 10 years," she said, and indicated the document is currently at the facilities director (Ry) for cost inputs and may be presented to the board in June once numbers are available.
On energy procurement, Frankstead reported staff ran pricing and found electricity around 10.6 cents per kilowatt hour, "definitely under 11 cents," and noted that staff will consider locking a contract of up to 48 months before cooling‑season rates rise. She said she will place an electricity‑procurement plan on the next meeting agenda.
Board members and staff discussed how multi‑year forecasting could highlight critical systems and allow the district to set aside funds in advance of large lifecycle costs. No formal capital commitments or procurement awards were made at the finance meeting.
