Davie council approves CIP amendment and lighting ordinance, tables multiple land-use items

At its meeting, the Davie Town Council took the following formal actions:
- Approved the third amendment to the town's 10-year Capital Improvements Program for fiscal years 2026–2035 (item 19). The resolution was read by the clerk and passed in a unanimous roll-call vote.
- Approved the revised lighting and night-sky regulations (item 20), an ordinance amending town code chapters on lighting standards, street lighting and night-sky regulations; the measure passed unanimously on roll call.
- Introduced a budget amendment (item 21) as a first reading; the second and final reading is scheduled for May 6.
- Took final action to approve variance application V25-171 (Suarez) by roll-call vote; the motion passed unanimously.
- Tabled multiple land-use items on the consent agenda: requests related to Cameron Cove and site-plan/plat items for 5600 SW 61st Avenue were tabled (some to May 20, others to June 3) after motions and roll-call votes.
Votes were recorded by voice or roll call as indicated during the meeting; councilmembers Alonso, Starky, Lewis, Vice Mayor Whitman and Mayor Paul voted in favor of the measures noted during the meeting.
