On the human resources side, Mr. Giardano introduced edits to a charter renewal application (Policy 140) and turned discussion to Dr. Silva, who summarized the five‑year charter renewal process and said the renewal documentation will align with current Pennsylvania requirements. Dr. Silva further noted staff are finalizing staffing recommendations for the budget presentation and that a set of policy updates (including Title IX-related harassment and discrimination language) will be brought to the board in coming weeks.
Committee members did not take votes on these items during the March 16 session; staff and board members said items would appear on the March 23 regular board meeting agenda for formal action. The committee recessed briefly for an executive session on student discipline before adjourning.
