Moving the threshold closer to federal guidance (to $350,000) would allow the district to use simplified bid processes for some purchases while retaining board oversight for other thresholds. Board members clarified that purchases above $25,000 would still be brought to the board for approval.
Board members voted in favor of the first reading by voice vote; the motion passed with the recorded tally noted as unanimous in the meeting.
