Mr. Hoffford, the historical society’s president, and representatives from the Batavia Park District accepted the proclamation and encouraged attendance at a Saturday event celebrating the museum.

The organization said the farmers market received regional recognition, visitation data from PlacerAI recorded nearly 2.5 million site visits with roughly 450,000 unique visitors over the year, and marketing efforts (including television and social media) helped highlight local businesses. Main Street also announced a July 26 fundraiser, Cocktails in the Park, and said a tabletop game shop recently opened downtown.
