On visitor services, staff outlined planned improvements to the town’s visitor center — including automated entrance doors, larger exterior signage and clearer posted hours — and said a comprehensive funding request for those upgrades will go to Town Council this summer. Operational constraints were discussed: the current visitor‑center room is used for storage and occasional dressing-room needs for pavilion events, and staff noted storage and racking constraints for chairs and event equipment that create logistical issues during event season.
Board members pushed for clearer priorities, timelines and resource assignments. Staff replied that the board would receive regular, component‑focused updates and that implementation details (responsibilities, phased timelines, and budget estimates) would be fleshed out in subsequent meetings.
