Trilogy Communications announces expansion, board formalizes previously approved incentive

Representatives of Trilogy Communications updated the Rankin County Board on an expansion of the company’s Pearl site and the board voted April 15 to make a previously approved support resolution official in the company’s name.
Garrett Wright of Rankin First said Trilogy will invest about $17 million over five years and plans to grow head count from about 60 to roughly 120 employees. "Over 5 years, it's $17 million in total investment. 50 to 60 jobs," Wright said.
Shawn Brown, general manager for Trilogy at the Pearl facility, said about $6 million has already been invested and about 20 people have been hired locally. He described positions ranging from equipment operators (he estimated operator pay around $50,000 annually) to technical and managerial roles, and said the firm is working with local trade schools and community colleges on workforce development.
The board voted to adopt the incentive resolution in the name of Trilogy Communications, formalizing the county’s earlier support for the project and authorizing the local tax-incentive package to proceed under the company name.
Board members praised the investment and asked staff to continue workforce and economic-development outreach to help Trilogy meet hiring needs.
