The resolution (2026‑21) also asks for improvements to the median pedestrian area between Crown Plaza and SRP Park: the plan would pedestrianize that area, add concrete benches/tables (also serving as bollards) and repair pavers that have settled from vehicle loading. McCauley said the combined cost in the packet was a staff typo and the intended not‑to‑exceed budget is $270,000, paid from Riverfront Central Core funds.
Operational details and enforcement: McCauley described design measures to limit regular vehicle intrusion into the golf‑cart lot (narrow curb‑cut entrances sized for carts, one‑way flow) and said initial use would be “free for all” on game days with event managers (the Green Jackets) helping manage surge parking. He confirmed towing and enforcement are in effect downtown, but staff acknowledged enforcement does not catch all illegally parked vehicles.
