Board approves revisions to sports pavilion policies BO3 and BO5

The Sun City West Governing Board unanimously approved revisions to two sports pavilion policies on Feb. 19.
Director Piscowski moved to approve in-gross revisions to sports pavilion bowling policy BO3; the motion carried unanimously. Piscowski then moved to approve an in-gross revision to policy BO5 (tournaments); directors said BO3’s league information had been moved into BO5 and the changes primarily clean up the policy structure. Both motions passed without objection.
Directors and committee chairs said the revisions were recommended by the Sports Pavilion Committee and that legal review for remaining facilities policies will follow; final votes on additional policies are expected at the March meeting after counsel’s review. No residents spoke against the policy changes at the meeting.
The board recorded the motions and approved staff moving forward with updated policy language; staff will return with the remaining policies after legal review.
