The applicant asked the board to increase overnight occupancy from the previously permitted number (described during the hearing as 8) to 15 and to increase the allowable on-site guest count from 100 to 300. "We live on the property. So, we are on site for every event," the presenter said, describing the primary lodging as a 7,000 sq ft house that can accommodate the booking party. She said the venue hires local vendors and local youth to help with parking and traffic control.
On-site operations and safety were discussed: the presenter said the site has handled up to 200 guests at one time and once staged an event for 250, though she said no more than about 200 were on site concurrently. The venue has a gravel driveway and an off-field parking layout; staff and local helpers flag incoming traffic to smooth ingress and egress during peak arrival and departure windows.
The board moved to amend the 2021 conditional-use permit. A roll-call vote was recorded and the motion carried. The board thanked the presenter and closed the item.
