At its most recent meeting, the Scotia-Glenville Board of Education approved several routine but material items, including the property tax report card for the 2026–2027 school year, acceptance of donations and a slate of staffing appointments and communications items.
A motion to approve the property tax report card was made, seconded and approved by voice vote. The transcript records board members responding "Aye. Aye. Aye." but does not name the mover or the seconder on the record. The board also moved (and approved by voice) to accept donations for senior high scholarships and a Stewart's Shops gift to fund a high school health-science field trip to Therapeutic Horses of Saratoga, along with memorial gifts from Ann and David Sherman in memory of Charles Chick Gilgore and Mary Gilgore.
The board approved communications items (A–E) and a personnel slate that included appointments and recognitions: social-studies teachers, a substitute speech-language pathologist, a teacher's aide, co-principals for a summer extended-school-year program, intramurals staff, an executive secretary to athletic department, head general mechanic, custodial staff, monitors, chaperones, and a modified head coach. One correction was read into the record on a communications item (change 'Glen Vont' to 'Glendall').
The meeting also approved routine minutes and warrant reports. The minutes from the November 24, 2025 regular meeting were accepted by voice vote; the transcript shows an abstention recorded but does not identify the abstaining member by name.
Board members were offered line-item BOCES cost breakdowns upon request; Drew said the final service request and charge details would be made available to board members for review before formal approval on the services list.
No roll-call vote with member-by-member tallies was recorded in the transcript for the motions reported during this meeting; all actions noted in the record passed by voice vote.
