Franklin Township honors Golden Blue Choir and local performers at Dec. 9 meeting

The Franklin High School Golden Blue Choir (the Madricals) was acknowledged after being named NBC’s 2025 Star Choir and for a televised performance at Rockefeller Center. Councilwoman Nudin presented certificates to performers from the Franklin Day event and recognized Tu Paruru, a South Indian percussion ensemble. Performer Akila Deshwari described the group’s mission to teach and showcase an ancient percussion tradition and thanked the township for repeated performance opportunities.
