Board members debated whether to hold elections at the meeting or defer in light of possible timing changes tied to upcoming referenda and appointments. After discussion, a motion to elect Bucello as chair passed on a roll-call vote of six in favor and one opposed (Gonzalo Sanabria). The subsequent vote for vice chair elected Alice Bravo by the same margin.
Following the election, Bucello briefly thanked the board and assumed chair duties for the remainder of the meeting. The board then moved to adjourn.
