Owen's House honored; facility dog Fitz recognized and Officer Perry Moore sworn in

The council signed and presented the proclamation and thanked Owen's House for its work in the community.
Earlier in the meeting, Officer Perry Moore was sworn in. Moore recited the oath of office and council applauded as the mayor welcomed him to Columbiana; Moore said he relocated from New York (Hempstead) and the council congratulated him.
The mayor also noted upcoming Owen's House fundraising events and other community activities. Those ceremonial and recognition items were presented before the evening's public hearings and ordinance discussions.
