Hackettstown board accepts retirement, approves replacements and business administrator contract

The board approved hiring Brittany Boetticher as a long-term maternity-leave replacement in guidance at a pro-rated daily rate of $340.10 beginning May 18, 2026, and covering additional specified dates in June. The board also approved a maternity leave for employee H0002166 with dates and return information recorded in the minutes, and approved a set of revised and new job descriptions including a new Instructional Coach.
High School 7th teaching-block assignments for May 11–June 17, 2026 were approved, specifying instructors, course assignments and daily stipends ranging from $62.45 to $93.16. The board approved clinical internship/externship and student-observation placements and accepted other personnel items by reference.
In a separately recorded administrative action, the board approved the employment contract to employ James Schlessinger as the School Business Administrator / Board Secretary for the 2026–27 school year; the contract is pending Warren County Superintendent approval.
