The West Chester Area School District outlined two proposed master schedules for its three middle schools on a community webinar, saying the changes — if adopted — would take effect in the 2027–28 school year.
Dr. Jimmy Connley, the district's assistant superintendent for secondary education, said a cross-district committee of teachers, building administrators and central-office staff has been studying middle-school scheduling since August and will recommend one of two sample schedules to the Teaching, Learning and Equity committee on June 12. "Tonight represents the first of many opportunities for us as community members and families to learn about the proposed schedule," Connley said.
