Members also approved a construction budget update for outfitting the MUSC pump station, which staff said carries an estimated total cost just under $12 million with an anticipated Army Corps contribution of $4 million and a city contribution of just over $8 million. Staff said MUSC will provide necessary easements and construction cooperation but is not a direct dollar contributor.
Other approvals included multiple drainage easements in Ardmore/Palmetto Ford, a piping solution at 1223 Foushee Way to help an elderly resident access a mailbox, a restrictive covenant requested by SHPO for the Angel Oak adjacent park site, and a water‑taxi dock relocation for Waterfront Park for which Salmons provided a $706,391 quote (the city would reimburse half, $353,195).
