Planning commission forwards Northland County capital improvement plan (FY2027–2031) to supervisors

The Northland County Planning Commission reviewed and forwarded the county’s Capital Improvement Plan for fiscal years 2027 through 2031 to the Board of Supervisors.
Staff said the draft had been reformatted to improve readability and that a prior omission of sheriff’s vehicle requests had been corrected in the current draft. No members of the public registered to speak on the CIP and commissioners moved and seconded a recommendation that the document be forwarded to the board as presented.
Commissioners agreed the corrected figures made the booklet clearer and noted that final appropriation decisions remain within the Board of Supervisors’ budget process. The commission’s action was a recommendation only; the Board of Supervisors will consider the CIP and any budgetary requests in its upcoming agenda.
