Manager Williams said the borough will add the pro rata payment to the fisheries economic development fund. A caller raised procedural concerns about calling in during hearings; Assemblymember Johnson asked whether small prorated grants could be accepted administratively in the future; Manager Williams said the ordinance process is currently used as a safeguard when money lacks a specific destination.
Rezoning advanced: The Assembly advanced ordinance FY2026-24 to public hearing to rezone USS3099 lot 21 sub lot six from R1 single-family residential to PL public lands to permit a new lift station; packet included a corrected version of the ordinance.
Board vacancy: The Assembly declared the seat held by Alan Wolfe on the Mission Lake Tide Gate Service Area Board vacant and directed the clerk to advertise the vacancy per borough code. Members congratulated Mr. Wolfe on his retirement.
Other votes: Multiple staff-recommended contract authorizations and change orders (including the KFRC pump change order and the school-roof MOA) were approved; most motions passed by unanimous roll-call votes.
