Cloverdale Unified board approves audit, contract addendum and multiple facilities resolutions

The board accepted the audit after a staff presentation that said auditors issued an "unmodified" opinion and that there were "zero adjustments" between the district's unaudited actuals and the final audit. The presenter described the district as a "low-risk audit" for federal awards. Trustee Garrison moved to accept the audit report and the motion passed.
On facilities contracting, the board approved two related resolutions to begin a two-step lease-leaseback procurement for Jefferson Elementary modular and site work: Resolution 22510 adopts a prequalification process and Resolution 22511 approves procedures, a prequalification questionnaire and a request-for-proposals packet. A representative identified in the meeting as Brian from the firms working with the district answered trustee questions about the process; legal review was noted.
The board also opened and closed a public hearing and approved Resolution 22512 to accept state construction grant funding intended to reimburse the district after construction of new facilities at Washington School. Superintendent and staff said monetization reimbursements will flow back into bond accounts that are earmarked for TK classroom projects.
Trustees also approved a set of donations to student programs, including gifts to CHS FFA, the CHS class of 2026 and Washington School's eighth-grade science elective. The district recorded acceptance of the donations on a single consent calendar vote.
On personnel, the board approved a first addendum to the superintendent's employment agreement that adds one year and a salary-schedule column. The superintendent and board members repeatedly clarified on the record that the amendment was "not a raise" but rather a contractual step in the salary schedule. Trustee Ashley Lopez White moved the measure and it passed.
The meeting closed with scheduling and future-agenda items, including follow-up financial reviews and policy discussion.
What's next: staff said they will return with documentation for the Jefferson lease-leaseback procurement and with details on the timing for reimbursement of construction grant funds.
