TPR Education LLC (The Princeton Review): The board also approved a contract to pilot a high-dosage virtual small-group mathematics tutoring program (up to four students per session) in selected middle and high schools for the spring semester at an estimated cost of $196,360, funded from general funds. The program uses assessment-driven instructional design and is intended to inform future scaling decisions.
Board members welcomed the investments as targeted responses to student needs while requesting outcome reporting so the board can evaluate scale-up potential. Staff said the pilot outcomes will inform longer-term decisions about district supports for literacy and secondary mathematics.
Next steps: District staff will implement the pilots, monitor outcomes, and report back to the board; the Ignite Reading expansion is already scheduled to operate through May 21.
