The Savannah-Chatham County Board of Education on March 11 approved a series of motions covering facility names, governance protocols, instructional contracts and multiple budget and capital adjustments.
The board voted to name the Board of Education Police Department Annex the "Larry Lowour Board of Education Police Department Annex." The motion was moved by Miss Hall and seconded by Dr. Howard Hall; the family and district police leadership will coordinate a naming ceremony.
Board members also adopted the board norms and protocols, a recurring annual governance document intended to memorialize expectations for board conduct and to support possible recognition by the Georgia School Boards Association.
